What is Budgetoo?
Budgetoo is a web application that simplifies the process of creating and managing a budget. There are many applications out there that will try to do everything for you, but Budgetoo takes a more semi-automatic approach to managing your budget. Here are a few of the advantages Budgetoo has over the fully automated applications:
- Because Budgetoo allows you to enter transactions manually, you’ll be able to catch errors and save money.
- Budgetoo let’s you associate each payment in the category you select as you enter a transaction, instead of trying to guess at which category it should go in. This will make sure that everything is in the correct category so you can see exactly where your money is going.
- Since Budgetoo doesn’t interact with any financial institution you don’t have to give out any of your financial information. This will help keep your accounts secure, prevent the possibility of stolen passwords and save yourself a huge headache.
Who made Budgetoo?
Hi, my name is Nicholas Gagne. I’m a web developer by day and consider myself a hobbyist web designer. Budgetoo is fueled by my passion for helping people. That may sound very cliché, but believe me, I really do enjoy helping others.
I first created Budgetoo as a way for my wife and I to manage our budget. We were originally using an excel spreadsheet to stick to our budget, and that worked well, but I knew that I could create something that takes the boring stuff out of budgeting. So, I began working on a web application to handle budgeting.
I built Budgetoo from scratch and will continue to maintain, and look for new ways to improve it. If you have any suggestions to make Budgetoo better for everyone, please send me a suggestion. I'll be sure to personally read all of email that comes through, promise!
